After yesterday’s presentation, I have learned the best public speakers do not memorize their presentation. Instead know my topic and the issues. Then make notes for but don’t read your speech. That is so boring. Instead write key words that remind the messages, I should write my speech notes on index cards. That is much easier to handle instead of fumbling with a sheet of paper.
In addition, I also researched how to make my presentation more interesting and communicate the information at the same time. The speech said that enjoyment and humor are mostly in the preparation. We don’t need to be a natural stand-up comedian to inject enjoyment and humor into a presentation or talk. It’s the content that enables it, which is very definitely within the control. And every presentation has a short time to make a positive impact and good opening impression, so I have to make sure I have a good, strong, solid introduction, and rehearse it to death. That is the reason our group decide to present our design work with an enjoyment and humor way. We believe that is an effective way to cash audience’s attention to communicate successfully.
